The business was founded in 1955 and is one of the most well equipped and fully integrated precision parts manufacturing business in Southern California. The business specializes in very complex projects, machining exotic and difficult metals, and its services range from concept to completion. The facility is temperature and environmentally controlled and departmentalized with two Electrical Discharge Machining Departments; four grinding departments; and boring, milling, lathe, and inspection departments. All are equipped with state-of- the art CNC machining and inspection equipment. The business differentiates itself through its fully integrated services, its manufacturing facility, and its ability to fully meet all customer standards and quality and service requirements. Customers include major aerospace contractors, medical equipment manufactures, and other businesses needing ultra-precision parts. A $1.3 million contract with a major customer is expected in the next month or two. The business has never marketed its services and capabilities and sales have been generated by its reputation. Sales for the last two years have been below historical levels due to the lack of a sales function.
